How can counseling help me?
Counseling can provide you with a safe space to explore your thoughts and emotions, gain valuable insights, develop coping strategies, and work towards positive change. It can help you manage stress, improve relationships, and enhance your overall well-being.
What can I expect from a counseling session?
During a counseling session, you can expect a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you can freely express yourself. The counselor will listen actively, provide guidance, offer tools for self-reflection, and collaborate with you to set and achieve personal goals. Sessions are typically anywhere from 50-60 minutes.
Do you accept insurance?
I am in network with most major insurances: BCBS PPO, UHC, Aetna, Tricare, and Cigna.
Are there any diagnosis that you don't work with?
I do not see clients with the following diagnosis: OCD, eating disorders, substance abuse and personality disorders. This is due to wanting you to have the best possible care and we are not trained in these particular areas. Please contact us if you would like referrals for these diagnosis.
What approaches to treatment do you use?
I use evidence based approaches to treatment such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Attachment Based, Holistic, and Cognitive Processing Therapy, and EMDR.
What are your specialties and experience?
I have experience working with trauma, ADHD, mood disorders, attachment issues, and relationships issues working with individuals. I also have experience working with other mental health professionals.
For the Newbies...
Do I have to be super messed up to come to therapy?
Definitely not. Most of my clients are actually very high-functioning… they just feel overwhelmed, stuck, or exhausted underneath it.
What if I don't know what to say or talk about?
These are my favorite sessions. Simply tell me you don't know what you want to talk about today and I will take the lead. I got you.

Will you just sit there and nod the whole time?
There will be times you wish I sat quietly and nodded... I’m engaged, honest, and will gently challenge you when needed.
How do I know if therapy is working?
Over time, you may notice subtle shifts—feeling more aware, more grounded, or responding differently to things that used to feel overwhelming.
We’ll also check in regularly to make sure the process feels helpful for you.

Do I have to talk about my past?
This is your space—you get to decide what we focus on. Sometimes we stay in the present, and sometimes we explore the past if it’s still impacting you. Either way, we move at your pace.
How often do we meet for sessions?
I typically suggest starting off once a week for one hour. I understand that there are other factors that come into play when coming to therapy and I am always willing to work with you based on your needs.
